Good afternoon.
I discovered for myself "winter running shoes" a couple of years ago. For several years of my sports career I had been having the contract with a well-known manufacturer of sports gear and clothing from Japan. That's why all running shoes I wore were designed for summer time only. Taking into consideration my training schedule I seldom ran in winter so there was no need to buy special running shoes.
But the moment has come...
And I'll tell you that winter shoes are a far cry from summer ones. What do I mean? Only running shoes with a good tread I can call winter shoes. The tread is what gives you a unique feeling of comfort and sense of security in running on the snow in comparison with summer models.
Besides, if you choose membrane models, your legs will be kept warm and dry in rainy weather. Therefore, all trail running shoes can be considered as winter ones. I'm sure your feet won't freeze during running even if you wear summer models so you shouldn't worry about it.
Good afternoon, Oleg Sergeevich.
Thank you so much for helping beginners.
I'd like to know which running shoes (or other shoes) are suitable for training (not running but walking at a brisk pace) in sub-zero weather?
What do you think about running shoes sold in Decathlon stores? The most expensive shoes are about 4-5 thousand rubles but the question of quality and characteristics of best running shoes in this store remains.
I'm choosing running shoes for regular running but I have a problem - my knees and foot hurt sometimes. I was going to choose shoes from Asics models but the consultant advised me to buy Hoka running shoes. What do you think about this brand?
Good afternoon, Oleg Sergeevich.
I have longitudinal flat feet, II grade. Usually, the doctors, of course, think I'm crazy because I run with a flat feet. But I know many people with the same diagnosis who run like me and don't have any problems.
I have two questions:
Thank you!
Good afternoon.
Please, advise me what running shoes I should choose for running on an indoor track (in a stadium). I don't run a lot on the asphalt so I need running shoes for running in a stadium.
Thank you.
