DARK STRIDES EPISODES happen at night time. All Athletes MUST WEAR head lamps to compete in DarkStrides.com events
Episode 2 starts on the road, takes you through camp grounds, down a BLVD, into and over the sand dunes, along a moonlit beach before running through a field and finishing under the glow of the DarkStrides.com finisher arch at Nickerson Beach

Finisher medals will be given out to those particpants that register for and complete the 10k Run only. (be sure to register for the series to collect them all)

Every athlete at a Race Awesome Event is important, from the first finisher to the final finisher. We encourage all athletes to stay and enjoy the post-race food &, beverages and to cheer in the final finisher. The awards ceremony will commence as soon as the final finisher crosses the line, and the raffle will take place at the end of the awards ceremony. You must be there to win.
If you can't stay for the awards CONTACT US. We will give you directions as to how you can send us a self-addressed, stamped envelope for 2 pounds, and your award will be shipped to you.

What We Offer:- There are No Refunds and entries are Not Transferable.
However, if you are injured, simply email us at DarkStrides@RaceAwesome.com and explain your injury. We will then offer you the opportunity to come and work at the event you registered for. In return for working at the event, we will roll your entry over to the same race the following year at no charge. We don't require a doctor's note, honesty is just fine for us.

USA Track &, Field has issued a set of rules to maintain consistency and order from race to race across the country. The rules include sections on membership, and rules of conduct. The USATF Competition Rules book is available for viewing, in PDF format below.

Every participant, official, volunteer and spectator should consider all safety issues and make related decisions prudently without reliance upon the Competitive Rules.
A Shared Responsibility:- No matter what inspired you to become an athlete, you&rsquo,re responsible for showing up at the starting line fully prepared for the challenge ahead of you. Safety in the sport is not just the responsibility of the National Governing Body, sanctioned events and race directors, who are subject to the scrutiny of USATF sanctioning process and expected to uphold the best safety protocols. It's also the responsibility of the athlete.
