Bryson City Moonlight 5K: race description
The Bryson City Moonlight 5K &, Fun Run/Walk will highlight an evening of family fun at the beautiful Riverside Park in Bryson City, NC on Saturday July 30th. The 1st annual event is being hosted by the Swain County High School girls Track Team in celebration of their 2016 NCHSS 1A State Championship and is a fundraiser for their “,Race for the Rings”, campaign. Family Fun >,>, Live music, bouncy houses, and food/concessions will ensure a great night out at Riverside Park.

EVENT SCHEDULE:
Friday –, July 29th:
7:30 –, 8:30PM: Packet Pick Up at Movies On Everett featuring a FREE showing of “,”,http://www.theblindsidemovie.com/dvd/index.html'>,The Blind Side' (Show time = dusk = approx 8:30PM)
Saturday –, July 30th:
6:00 –, 8:00 PM: Packet Pick Up and Onsite Online Registration at the Riverside Park
7:45PM: START of the 1 Mile Fun Run
8:15PM: START of the 1st Annual Moonlight 5K Run/Walk
REGISTRATION:
5K: $25 online until Friday July 29th at 7:30PM –, then $30 online and at Friday Packet Pick Up and onsite race day.
Fun Run: $10 online or onsite
Commemorative event T-shirts: Registration fee for 5K runners/walkers includes a shirt. Fun Runners do not get a shirt –, however they are available for purchase. Register by July 20th to ensure you get a shirt in the size requested. Quantities and/or sizes may be limited after the 20th.
We are the 2016 NCHSAA 1A State Champions!
The 1st Annual Bryson City Moonlight 5K &, Fun Run is being hosted by the Swain County High School girls track team in celebration of their 2016 NCHSS 1A State Championship! This is the first ever track and field state championship for Swain County High School and only the 2nd ever team state championship in a female team sport for our school. We are the 2016 NCHSAA 1A State Champions!
The team is hosting this “,Race for the Rings”, as fundraiser for to raise money for our state championship rings. Please come and help support our young ladies and let's celebrate their amazing accomplishment together!
