Run for Youth 5K Run/Walk and Fun Run

Come out and support the youth in the Lake Norman Area and have some fun while doing it! Experience beautiful Davidson, NC in the Spring and celebrate our youth.

Choose between the competitive 5K run/walk and a one-mile fun run/walk.

The races will start and finish on Mimosa St. right in front of Temple Kol Tikvah at 605 South St., Davidson, NC. The post-race party will be on the lawn in front of Temple Kol Tikvah with music, free food, and fun activities.

For those participating in the 5K you can create a team of four or more participants and win one of the special team awards!

On-Line Registration will go through March 17.  All participants who pre-register by March 7 will be guaranteed a t-shirt.  Registration fees are non-refundable.

5K: $20 through March 20, $25 March 21-26, $30 on race day

Fun Run: $10 up to and including race day

Note: babysitting services will be provided during the race time (7:30 to 9:30) free of charge

5K Race:

Top three overall male
Top three overall female

Top male master (age 40+)
Top female master (age 40+)

Top three male &, female in the following age groups: 13 and under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and up.

Fun Run:

All children (Under 13) will receive a finisher medal

For the 5K Race, in addition to the overall and age group awards, individuals can register with a team to be included in the team awards! Awards will be presented to the top winners in the following categories (min. of 4 individuals per team, no maximum number).

Fastest Team (XC point system, using overall finishing place as individual's score)

Team with greatest number of finishers

Youngest Team (average age)

Oldest Team (average age)

Be sure to list Team Name during registration.

Omega Sports will host packet pick-up &, registration prior to the race on Friday, March 24 from 1 – 5pm and on Saturday, March 25 from 4:30 – 8:30pm at the Northcross Shopping Center (9747 Sam Furr Rd., Huntersville, NC). During packet pick-up at Omega Sports if you mention the Run for Youth race they will give you 10% off any purchase and donate 10% to Temple Kol Tikvah. You can also register or pick up your packet the day of the race at Temple Kol Tikvah starting at 7am.

Register online by March 23 or in person at packet pickup on March 24, 25, or race day morning.

Lots of Food and Drinks will be served after the race courtesy of Publix and Great Harvest Bread Company.
