Lhotse 24-Hour Endurance Challenge: race description

The event is a 24-hour track race with 2 and 4 person relay options available. Participation will be limited to 50 individual competitors and 50 relay teams, and registrations will be filled in the order they are received. The race is one of the last qualifying events for the 2017 IAU 24-Hour World Championship. The race is intentionally held on a certified track to provide participants with a flat, cushioned surface to achieve their best performance. All efforts will be made to respect the endeavors of competitive athletes while promoting safe and fun environment for all participants.

The race is on the Owasso High School track in Owasso, Oklahoma. The course is a 1/4 mile rubber track, and the track is certified. The event is USATF sanctioned and intended to be a qualifier for the US team for the IAU 24-Hour World Championship.
