WVS Winter&#39,s End 4.5 Mile Run

NEPA is well known for a winter season that loves to hang on, so come out on Sunday March 19th, 2017 to the Wyoming Valley Strider's Winter's End Run in an effort to shake off the last of the cold weather blues! Our race features a scenic rolling hills 4.5 mile course in the Lehman area near Penn State, Wilkes Barre.

We know that the area's weather can vary in late March! Sometimes the race course features a light coating of snow at no extra charge!

For giveaways, we plan on offering each entrant a choice of various Wyoming Valley Striders swag. 

Light refreshments will be served after the race.

Club members receive a $2.00 discounted entry fee when using the coupon code emailed in January.

The race directors reserve the right to accept or reject any entry.

Entry fee is not refundable.

This will be a USATF sanctioned event.

Registration on race day is from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM in the Commons on campus. (Online registrants can pick up their race packet on race day.)

Entry fee is $20.00 at the venue on race day.

Trophies to the top male and female. Medals to top 3 males and top 3 females in each age group.

Runners are not allowed to be accompanied by animals!
Baby strollers are not allowed on the course!
Alcoholic beverages are not allowed on campus!

Roads are narrow.  No spectoator vehicles allowed on the course during the race.  Spectators may view the race from the Start/Finish area and the parking lot areas, and also from the turnaround point near the intersection next to Lake Lehman high school.

The Wyoming Valley Striders extends its gratitude to the Pennsylvania State University, Wilkes-Barre Campus, Lehman, for their assistance in this race. Appreciation is also extended to the Supervisors and Police of Lehman Township for their cooperation.

Course is basically out-and-back, mostly paved township roads with little or no traffic. Some dirt surface.
Scenic course, gentle, rolling terrain. Time split at one mile mark. Digital display clock at finish line.
