Boy Scout Sash Dash

A Boy Scout is many things –, Physically Strong, Mentally Awake, and Prepared for anything! Are you?

Join us for the New Boy Scout Sash Dash and test your merit against 8 obstacles like “The Bully” and the “First Class Climb” in this 5k length obstacle/trail run around Camp Karoondinha!

Camp “K” is the jewel of the Susquehanna Council, and is a pristine 400+ acre facility in Union County, nestled between Penns Creek and Bald Eagle State Forest. Camp K’s charm includes a lake, hiking trails, camping sites and several cabins. Cabins and campsites will be available for rent over the race weekend. Due to the challenging and rigorous nature of this course, race participants must be 14 years of age or older. Participation by racers 14-17 years of age will require a parental permission form to be signed on site.

Racers will be encouraged to follow the Scout Law during the race: A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.  Except for the clean part… racers may get dirty! Helping others and working as a team will be a big part of the race so BE PREPARED and come with friends! This will be a fun but challenging event. Participants of all levels are invited to participate, but pace themselves.

All proceeds will support the Susquehanna Council, Boy Scouts of America, in providing the Scouting program to youth throughout Clinton, Lycoming, Northumberland, Union, and Snyder Counties.
