Homecoming 5K Dash Through the Decades Race

The Dash Through the Decades 5K is a running time machine, taking you from the sounds and sights of the 60s all the way to the big hits of today!  Are you a child of the 70s?  Maybe 80s or 90s?  No matter what your favorite decade is, this race is for you!!

The Homecoming 5k was started in 2008 by Daron Trussell in order to add more tradition to the weekend. It was an opportunity to get more alumni and community involved in Tarleton's annual celebration. The first 5k (3.1 mile) race was held in 2008 and had just over 100 participants with numbers steadily increasing each year. The big draws for the race are the themed T-shirt, the low entry fee ($25) and the chip timing service for official race times. 

This year, due to campus construction along our normal route, we will be holding the race at the Stephenville City Park. 

Registration Information:

$25.00 and includes Dash Through the Decades Homecoming 5K T-Shirt

Registration must be received by October 9, 2015 to guarantee a t-shirt

Registration Payment Information:   (checks only, payable to Tarleton State University or online)

Pre-Race Packet Pick-Up at Rec Center on Friday, Oct 14 12:00 – 9:00 pm (You will still need to pick up your chip on race day.)

Check-In begins Saturday, October 22 at 6:45am inside under the covered pavilion at the City Park.

Pre-Race Meeting 7:50 am / Race will begin at 8:00am.

Awards:

Prizes will be awarded per age division, male and female in each age group:

Elementary, Jr. High, High School, TSU Students, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

Additional Information:

Pre-Race refreshments will be available

There will be no water stops on the course
