Morning of Hope
Morning of Hope: race description
The Morning of Hope 5K and Community Communion Service will be at Freedom Park on Saturday, April 4. Casting for Hope is hosting this community sunrise service and 5K run, with Dr. Tom Bland from First Baptist Church of Morganton officiating. The race will utilize the Catawba River Greenway for the run, which is accessible from Freedom Park.
Casting for Hope is a 501©,3 nonprofit that aids women and families in Western North Carolina who are surviving after a diagnosis of ovarian or other gynecological cancer. Casting for Hope aids these women and families through two primary ways: we provide retreats for women and caregivers and we provide financial aid to women and their families who are struggling to make ends meet due to the financial pressures of battling cancer. The funds raised through this event will be put to work in undergirding Casting for Hope's two primary wings of service. For more information about Casting for Hope and the work that we do, visit our webpage at www.castingforhope.org or contact us at email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org, and/or email@example.com.
