I took part in half marathon in a fasted state. Is it ok?

In principle, I’m against “fasted running” (with the exception of light running exercise, 2-3 kilometers, before breakfast))).
If we say about such a distance as a half marathon on an empty stomach, I think it’s a deeply wrong approach that can do only harm. I won’t describe mechanisms of negative influence in detail but say it is connected with energy metabolism.
