Good afternoon,

I was diagnosed with arthrosis of I grade and now doctors recommend me to do plasma transfusion or hyaluronic acid injections into the joint.

What's your attitude to this?

Good afternoon,

During my running career I've never faced these procedures although I know what it means. I have acquaintances (not runners) who had HA injections directly into the knee joint. Pain had gone quickly and hadn't returned for more than three years. Then they were offered to repeat the procedure.

My attitude is that if anything improves the quality of your life and doesn't harm to the health it can be used. But it's only your decision whether or not to do a procedure, my advises will not be relevant here. Arthrosis of I grade is not the problem that will disappear on its own and soon or later you have to take a decision how to find an extra support for your body. So, weigh up the pros and cons of these procedures and decide what's the optimum for you.
